You never need these, but they make things quicker. The hint line at the bottom of the app always shows the keys for what you are doing.

Troubleshooting
Questions
A part is missing from the 3D view.
Check that it is not hidden (the object list shows hidden parts faded; Show hidden objects brings them back) and that it is not set to Hole / cut. A shape with zero height or a line that is not closed may also not make a solid.
The print check says Off the bed or Too tall.
Part of the design is outside your printer's bed or taller than its maximum height. Choose the right printer under Printer bed, then move or scale the design. Center on bed (Align & arrange) helps.
Text or thin details disappear in the print.
Strokes thinner than your nozzle cannot print. Open Print preview: red marks show those spots. Use a bolder font, a bigger letter size or a smaller nozzle.
Parts print over air or need supports.
Something sits on top of nothing. Turn on Keep objects on the bed, lower the part with Lift above bed, or use Make raised parts flush for face-down prints.
My design was gone after I came back.
Designs are kept per browser and per device; a private window forgets them. Use Save to keep a project file, and Open it on another computer.
Something else is wrong.
